A fabulous short week..

Well I have had a fabulous short week. Tuesday was my Math mid-term which ended up being easier than I expected. I always freak out, and then when the actual test comes along I do well. But I am an avid over-worrier. Jason took his math mid-term today and said the same thing about the test. Easier than expected.

So as of this past Tuesday I am 21 weeks along in my pregnancy! Yay! Jason told me today that I seemed to suddenly pop. Haha I thought I was big before but he seems to think I grew over night or, even just from this morning. I spent the day today with some amazing women that I met in Relief Society. We crafted all day and I made a "Fall" board to hang on my wall. I was pretty proud of myself when I came home to show Jason. I am so happy to be making friends here. And I think my Relief Society is excited about the fact that I'm having a baby. There hasnt been a baby in the ward for a while I guess. :) Tomorrow will be for grocery shopping and finishing errands before the weeked. I'm hoping my brother can fly out to see me this weekend, but I'm still waiting on the verdict. His work schedule can change last minute. Saturday Jason and I are going to Rutger's, a resort here in MN to see the Oktoberfest. They have Arts and Crafts and food for fall so I'm excited! It should be fun.

Nesting?? At 5 months! Yayyyyy...

So I have to say, today was the most productive day in this house since we moved in. Haha. After my math class I instantly set to work cleaning the entire kitchen, and overhauling the living room. Then I unpacked a bunch of boxes that were still in our guest room. After I did that I put up some Halloween decorations! Not a lot, but enough to add some October flare to the living room. Jason went to Fleet Farm and got some rakes and a compost bin so I can start making my own compost for when spring comes around and I set up my garden. He raked the yard and I tackled the high chair that my brother in law gave us. It was pretty dirty, but man is it bright and shiny now! I need to buy a new pad for the chair but everything else will work great! Luckily I'll have a few months after Hunter is born before I even have to get a high chair set up.

Tomorrow I meet with a woman from Avon who's going to give me some more information about working for them! I would be able to sell the products from home or even online. So we'll see. I will know more tomorrow.

ITS A BOY!!!!!!!

We went in for our Ultrasound today and sure enough it's a boy!! Clear as day.. haha. At first the lady was saying she couldnt quite make out, because his legs were crossed, but right on cue he opened wide and there it was!! LOL. Jason had the biggest smile on his face. We have just been walking on air all day. She said the baby was SUPER active, haha I said "Ya tell me about it." She also said he's going to be tall! :) She measured his femur and he's already a long baby. YAY!! We are so blessed.

Saturday October 9th 2010

Today was a really good day! Jason woke up at about 5:30 to go hunting with his dad and brother, and I went to a Holiday Craft Fair at the Brainerd High school with my mother in law. It was so much fun! There were about 150 vendors, all selling adorable handmade crafts. I went looking for some Christmas tree ornaments, but didn't really find any I liked. I also wanted a tree skirt for our Christmas tree this year but I wasn't about to pay 30.00 for a skirt I could buy at Kohls for 7.99. I did however find two adorable wall hangings for the baby's room!

So we find out this monday if we are having a boy or a girl!! We are soo excited to know. We thought we were going to find out at our last apt so now we are beyond ready to know. Haha. I'm getting huge... Walking is slow, and my hips and lower back are killing me, not to mention the heartburn. Jason's been very very patient with me waddling along behind him through Fleet Farm etc. Haha, I keep telling him it's only going to get worse. I'm slow right now I think mainly bc of my joint pain. I hope that eases up a bit bc sleeping is hard too. But honestly...the little (and big) kicks from the baby make all of this worthwhile. :) Love and kisses to all!

Our home in Minnesota

So after 2 full months of living with both Jason's parents, and his brother, we were finally set up in our own house! We were so blessed to have family close by that we could live with until the Marine Corps reimbursed us for our travels. Our little home still needs some work but we've already started on some improvements. Jason and his brother laid some tile in the front entry way that looks very ice, and we will be painting both our room, the living room, and the hallway. Come spring, I will be planting a garden in the backyard, mostly Tomatoes, Corn, Zuccini, some herbs, and maybe some rasberries! Yum! Here is some pictures of the house so far...

I'm not too crazy about the paneled walls...but we're gunna paint over that. And for 500 a month!??! I'd say its a pretty good deal.

So as for an update on the baby, still waiting to find out the gender. We wont know for sure until the 11th of this month. But man o man is that baby a kicker!! I love it tho! It's like little reminders that the baby's ok. We got my blood tests back about the baby and everything is fine in terms of Down syndrome and other developmental diseases or deformities. So yay!! Always good news to hear.

Well thats all for now! I've never blogged before so..this should be interesting.
